What you're actually paying for

Not a day's work. A day's work is the visible part.

It’s the years it took to be able to see a moment coming before it arrives. The weeks after, alone with your photographs, making each one look the way the day felt rather than the way the light happened to be. The gear that doesn’t fail, the second body in the bag, the insurance, the back-ups of the back-ups.

And the part nobody quotes for: being the person who is calm when the schedule slips, who knows where your grandmother went, and who has already noticed the wind and moved you.

Money questions

Can we pay in instalments?

Yes — a deposit to hold the date, then the balance in instalments before the day.

What holds our date?

A signed contract and your deposit. Until then, it's open to anyone.

How does travel work?

All travel is added to your quote but kept separate from your collection — one quote, with the travel itemised.

Is the deposit refundable?

All deposits are non-refundable. I'd rather say that plainly here than bury it in the contract.
